Testing the final design before it goes to metal
The printer barely stopped this week.
The tracker is going to be 3D printed in metal. Metal parts cost a lot more and take a lot longer to come back, so I want the design locked in before I send it off.

So I print it in plastic first. Each version goes to the gym and gets used for real sets. I'm checking how it sits, how quick it is to move between machines, and whether anything feels loose or annoying. Then I change something small and print it again.
Most changes are tiny. Half a millimetre here, a softer edge there. It's slow, but finding a problem now costs me a few hours and a bit of plastic. Finding it after the metal ones arrive costs a lot more.
When a version gets through a full week of workouts and I don't want to change anything, that's the one that goes to metal. I'm close. I'll post photos when the first ones turn up.
